  8. How long does it take to learn Japanese?

    It depends on your speed of learning, the level you begin at, etc. – it’s different for everyone. Having a conversation in Japanese is not too difficult – usually after 3-4 months of intensive study, students become quite smooth in speaking.

  11. I am looking for an Associate Diploma. Can I apply for that?

    Yes, you can apply for that. We have courses that allows you to get an Associate Diploma.

  12. When is the session to enroll for an Associate Diploma?

    It starts from April every year.

  13. How long do I need to study for an Associate Diploma?

    You have to study 2-year for receiving an Associate Diploma.

  14. Is it possible to extend my study after enrollment?

    Yes, it is possible. However, there are some procedures you have to follow. Please contact us for more details.

  15. Is it possible to reduce my study length during study?

    Yes, it is possible. However, there are some procedures you have to follow. Please contact us for more details.

  16. How many days a week & how many hours a day should I come to the school for study?

    You have classes 5 days a week (except Saturday & Sunday) and around 4 hours per day. Also There are no classes on public holidays. We have morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session starts from 8.50 am and afternoon session starts from 1.30 pm. Your session will be decided based on your Japanese language level.

  17. How many students are there in one class?

    Usually there are 15~20 students per class.

  18. How many country students are there in the college?

    We have students from more than 35 countries around the world. Also we have Japanese students studying English. This is a great opportunity for you to make global friends and learn different country cultures.

  19. What will be the VISA status after enrollment?

    It will be College student visa. The length of your VISA will depend on your course length you choose.

  20. Am I allowed to do part-time work?

    Yes, you are allowed to do part-time work under the college student visa. However, you must maintain good attendance level at the school. Working hours should be a maximum 28 hours per week during the school and 40 hours per week during long vacations.

  21. Can college help me to find part-time work?

    Yes, we’ll be happy to help you look for part-work. We have part time employment department and you can come and consult anytime.

  22. How much money per month do I need for living in Fukuoka? Can I make it with part-time work?

    It will be varied for each student. However, we estimate that you would need ¥50,000 – 80,000 yen per month in order to live in Fukuoka. It’s a basic estimate and will be varied based on your lifestyle. Fukuoka is a very popular tourist destination for Japanese people, and a great place to learn Japanese, because it is fairly large, and has a fantastic location, but prices are a lot cheaper than other cities like Tokyo. For example, lunch at a cafe in Tokyo often costs JPY ¥800 but in Fukuoka can cost from JPY ¥400.

  23. What documents are needed for enrollment?

    Actually it will depend on your course you choose. Please check the below table in order to know the initial requirements. School may ask you to submit other additional documents based on your selected course and country.

  24. I am interested to apply. When should I start my application procedure?

    The application procedure and scheduling will depend on the application session you choose. Please check below.

  25. How the documents processing will be done?

    We will follow the below process.

    Receive documents from the applicant (Scan copy by E-mail)

    Review documents

    Contact with the applicant from our College regarding the received documents

    Request the applicant for additional papers (If needed)

    Request the applicant to send the original final documents by Airmail/EMS***

    After we finish checking the documents, we will submit it to Fukuoka Immigration and apply for the Certificate of Eligibility.

  26. What will be the payment method?

    For the overseas International students, we accept bank transfer only. And for the local International students, we accept cash & bank transfer.

  27. When should I make payment?

    Generally, we ask students to pay the amount at least a month in advance of the start of classes. Paying the full fees in a single payment saves you from paying multiple bank transfer fees. We ask for payment in Japanese Yen. The exchange rate between Yen and your home currency may fluctuate, but the cost will not.

  28. If more than one people are coming together, can we pay fees together?

    Yes! It would be no problem to send your fees together, to save on transfer costs. Make sure you tell us before you will do so. Please make sure you remit exactly the same amount mentioned in the school invoice.

  29. Can I pay school fees in cash when I arrive at the school?

    We don’t accept payment in cash for students coming from overseas. We require full payment at least a month in advance of the start of classes.

  30. Can I pay in installments?

    It is not possible to accept payments in installments for the first year. Students need to pay 1-year tuition fee and 6-month dormitory fee (if students choose to stay in the dorm) at a time. However, installment payment is acceptable from the second year. Please contact school for more details.

  31. Do you offer scholarships or discounts?

    As we are a private language college, we do not offer scholarships in the first year. However, there are some scholarships available in the second year based on some certain conditions.

  32. Will I receive notification that you received my payment?

    Yes, we will notify you when we receive your payment.

  34. Can I cancel my application? Are there any cancellation fees?

    Yes, it’s possible to cancel your application. However, cancellation fees will be charged based on the below situations.

    • Before Receiving COE:
    Cancellation Fee 20,000 yen will be charged.

    • After Receiving COE:
    Cancellation Fee 20,000 yen will be charged.

    • After Receiving COE & paying the fees to the school:
    Cancellation Fee 20,000 yen will be charged. Also half of the dormitory fee will be deducted in case if you choose to stay in the dorm.

    • After Receiving VISA from the local Japanese embassy:
    Cancellation Fee 20,000 yen will be charged. Also half of the dormitory fee will be deducted in case if you choose to stay in the dorm.

    • Refused to receive VISA from the local Japanese embassy:
    Cancellation Fee 20,000 yen will be charged. Also half of the dormitory fee will be deducted in case if you choose to stay in the dorm.

  35. Will you arrange my flight ticket?

    No. Please arrange it by yourself.

  36. When should I book my ticket to arrive in Fukuoka, Japan?

    You should book your travel so that you arrive at least the day before the school entrance ceremony. However, if you think that you would need extra time to recover from jetlag, it might be a good idea to arrive a day or so earlier.
    When scheduling flights, we recommend you to arrive by 6.00 pm during weekdays if you live in the school dormitory. There are no arrival conditions for the students staying outside the dormitory. If only late-arriving flights are available, we recommend booking a nearby hotel in Fukuoka for your first night, and going to the accommodation in the morning of the next day. School will pick you up from the hotel in case if you choose to stay in the dormitory.

  37. Will someone meet me at the airport?

    Pickup services are only available for the students who choose to live in the dormitory. Students need to manage their own in case if they stay outside the dormitory. However, pickup service is only available during weekdays from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

  38. May I know about the College dormitory?

    Our College dormitory is particularly convenient and a cheap option for the International students to reside. Currently we have two dormitories for our students with single & shared room facilities. By bicycle it talks about 5 to 15 minutes from the dorm to the College. Also public transport is available. Each room is fitted with modern equipment’s including attached toilet and bath. Communal kitchen and laundry room facilities are also available. Free Wi-Fi internet access is offered for our students too. Students will experience a complete International environment by living together and making new friends.

  39. Can I cook in the dormitory?

    Yes, you can cook your own food in the shared kitchen. Also our dormitories have cafeteria from where you order food at a low-price.

  40. What do I need to bring to the dorm?

    The dorm room includes bed, air-condition, desk, chair, toilet and bath. Except these, you need to bring your daily necessary belongings.

  41. Do the dormitories have a fridge & microwave oven?

    Yes. We have two dormitories. One dormitory rooms have fridge & microwave inside. Another dormitory has fridges & microwave oven inside the shared kitchen, but it will be shared by other International students, so make sure you mark anything you put inside the fridge. Also, we’re sure we don’t have to tell you this, but please don’t take anything from the fridge that isn’t yours.

  42. Do the dormitories have washing machines?

    Yes. Both dormitories have shared washing machines.

  43. Do you have curfews in the dorm?

    Usually there is no curfews in the dorm. But we request all the students to return back to the dorm early due to safety precautions.

  44. What will be the contract procedure of getting room in the dorm?

    Usually our dormitory has half-yearly contract system with the students. So after 6-months, you need to renew for another half-year and so on if you want to continue staying in the dorm until you graduate. It’s possible to move from the dorm before the contract period but you need to finish the payment according to the agreement. However, there is a possibility of changing our dormitory and location. So please contact with us regarding renewal and other inquiries.

  45. Can I choose my roommate if I live in the shared room?

    No. School will choose the roommate. However, we will consider your requirements based on the availability.

  46. Can I change my room after boarding?

    No. However, we will listen to you and find the solution in case if you have any problem after boarding.

  47. Can I Cook inside the room?

    No. You need to use the shared kitchen for cooking.

  48. Can I buy my own fridge and microwave oven and keep inside the room?

    Yes. It is possible.

  49. Can I bring my friends inside the room?

    Yes, if they live in the same dormitory. Outsiders are not allowed inside your room. You can use the first floor lobby in case if someone comes to meet you.

  50. Can I smoke or drink inside the room?

    No. It’s strictly prohibited. You need to go outside the dorm for that.

  51. Where should I dump the garbage bags?

    All the dormitories have designated area for dumping garbage. Also you need to use designated bags after separating the garbage. We will explain to you during the orientation class about it.

  52. How about the Dormitory security?

    All the dormitories are completely secured with security cameras. There is no issue about that!!!

  53. I enrolled for October Intake and I would like to study 2-year and receive Associate Diploma. Is it Possible?

    No. We do not provide Associate Diploma OR 2-year study starting from October. We only have 1-year or 1.5-year program for October intake.

  54. I enrolled for October Intake and I would like to change my course from upcoming April. Is it possible?

    No. It’s not possible to change your course. You need to study under the same course until graduation.

  55. I enrolled for your college and after few months of study I have offered full time work by Japanese company. Can I close my admission?

    Yes, it’s possible to close your admission after enrollment. However, you cannot return to our college once you close your admission. Also the paid tuition fee will be non-refundable. Other than these, you need to process your visa change by yourself. We have seen many cases that students offered employment by the company but failed to receive visa as their background did not match with the immigration requirements. We recommend you to know everything before you take any decision.

  56. Is it possible to close my admission and return back to my country after few months of study?

    Yes, it’s possible to close your admission after enrollment if you have acceptable reason. However, you cannot return to our college once you close your admission. Also the paid tuition fee will be non-refundable.

  57. I have been offered a full time work by the Japanese company after enrollment. Will school support me for my Visa change?

    No, you need to do it by yourself. The change of visa will actually depend on the documents provided by the recruiting company and immigration. If the provided documents are good enough to satisfy immigration process, then you will get your visa changed. Please note that you cannot return to our college once you close your admission. Also paid tuition fee will be non-refundable.
